About Me 〰️

Hello! My name is Nick Gundrum and I am a musical theatre performer currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio. My purpose as an artist is to share the joy of music and the importance of human connection with the world. Music and storytelling are my two passions, and there is nothing I would rather be doing than pursuing what I love. I am currently in my senior year at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, also known as CCM. My goal after graduating college is to move to New York City to pursue theatre.

Beyond singing, acting, and dancing, I am a piano player, choreographer, and dance teacher. I have played and sang at dueling pianos bars, covering anything from Cole Porter to Chappell Roan. In choreographing dance, my favorite styles are tap, musical theatre, and contemporary. I teach drop-in dance classes at Lachey Arts in Cincinnati, OH, and musical theatre dance at LeJeune Dance on the weekends.

My introduction to theatre was in third grade when I took a theatre class. After the first semester’s Christmas themed showcase, my older brother Max wanted to get involved, so we starred in my first ever musical: The Pirates of Penzance. Max was much better than I was, but he decided to focus on sports while I stuck with all thing’s music. I’ve lived in Cincinnati my whole life; studying and working with The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, attending Anderson High School where my favorite role was Bat Boy in Bat Boy: The Musical, and finally deciding to pursue my BFA in musical theatre from CCM. Since college, I have worked professionally with Black Rock Theatre in Connecticut, The Lexington Theatre Co. in Kentucky, and Theatre Aspen in Colorado.

Outside of music and theatre, I have an awesome family who I love to hang out with. During the pandemic, we played sand volleyball together almost every day. We love to snow ski, water ski and wakeboard, workout, and travel. I am also passionate about starting my own business one day, and I received my Minor in Business Administration from the Lindner College of Business at UC. Thanks for being here, and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions!
